Key Responsibilities
- Chemical Safety: Managing and using cleaning agents strictly according to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) assessments.
- Safety Reporting: Identifying and reporting any incidents or potential hazards in line with RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations) guidelines.
- Hygienic Maintenance: Deep cleaning classrooms, communal areas, and sanitary blocks to high standards.
- Equipment Care: Ensuring all industrial cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
Essential Criteria
- UK Experience: You must have significant previous experience as a cleaner within a UK-based school or commercial setting.
- Compliance Knowledge: A strong, demonstrable understanding of COSHH and RIDDOR procedures.
- Background Check: You must hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be prepared to undergo a new check).
