Are you a high-energy educator with a passion for physical literacy and healthy competition? Join our secondary network as a PE Teacher and inspire students to improve their fitness, teamwork, and technical skills across a wide range of sports.
Lead from the Front: Impact Without the Admin
We are seeking Qualified Physical Education Teachers (QTS/ECTs) to provide specialist cover across a variety of secondary schools. This role allows you to focus on the "action" of teaching-leading drills, officiating games, and delivering theory-without the burden of departmental data tracking or weekend marking.
Broad Curriculum Mastery: Lead practical sessions across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering everything from team sports (Football, Rugby, Netball) to individual athletics, gymnastics, and dance.
Theoretical Expertise: Deliver engaging classroom-based lessons for GCSE PE or BTEC Sport, helping students master anatomy, physiology, and sports psychology.
Work-Life Balance: Reclaim your evenings! Lead high-impact practical sessions during the day and leave the planning and parent consultations to the permanent staff.
Your Role as a PE Lead
As a Secondary PE Teacher, you are responsible for fostering a positive attitude toward physical health and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for all abilities.
Expert Lesson Delivery: Facilitate high-energy practical lessons that develop technical skill, tactical awareness, and sportsmanship.
GCSE & BTEC Focus: Support examination cohorts with targeted theory prep and practical moderation, ensuring students meet the high standards required for their sports qualifications.
Safety & Equipment Management: Maintain a disciplined and safe environment in the sports hall and on the fields, ensuring all students follow safety protocols and handle equipment with care.
Adaptive Coaching: Differentiate your coaching style on the fly to support students with SEND or to stretch elite athletes who are aiming for high-level performance.
Essential Requirements
We are looking for articulate and passionate specialists who can motivate every student to get moving. You are an ideal fit if you:
- Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification (ECTs are highly encouraged to apply).
- Are a PE Specialist: You have a degree in Sports Science, PE, or a related field, with a solid grasp of the KS3/KS4 National Curriculum.
- Are an Engaging Role Model: You can build rapport with teenagers quickly and use your passion for sport to encourage participation and resilience.
- Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding.
