We are urgently seeking a resilient, fun, and creative SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly commended, "Ofsted Good" SEN school. Your Role and Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant working within the KS3 and KS4 departments, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Providing tailored support to learners on a 1:1, small group, and wider classroom basis.
  • Assisting students with various SEN requirements, focusing heavily on SEMH needs.
  • Fostering a love for learning while guiding students toward independence.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress.
  • Actively participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school training events.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

To be considered for this rewarding Learning Support role, applicants must possess:

  • Experience: 6 to 12 months of experience in a care, education, or learning support environment.
  • Qualifications: GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) and eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Mindset: A flexible, resilient, and positive approach to supporting learners with complex needs.

Note: Direct SEN experience is highly desirable, though candidates with a strong care background or those with personal SEN experience looking to transition into education are encouraged to apply.
