Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)? Do you have a passion for working with two-year-olds, fostering their early development in a nurturing environment? If so, we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS TA to join a long-term position in a nursery setting in Blackburn. This role is an immediate start and will continue until Easter.

As an EYFS TA, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and supportive environment for young children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging activities
  • Supporting language development
  • Assisting with personal care routines
  • Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure that each child receives the best possible support tailored to their individual needs
  • Providing feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher
  • Liaising with other professionals such as teachers, TAs, and specialist support staff
  • Working closely with other LSAs and support staff
  • Working with classes, small groups, and with children on a one-to-one basis
  • Monitoring and tracking the development of the pupil in question and supporting personal development and confidence

Additional requirements include:

  • Experience of working with young people
  • Comfort and confidence in managing challenging behaviours
  • Ability to engage with and build rapport with young people
  • Creativity, proactivity, and flexibility in your supporting style
  • Experience with SEN or knowledge of learning difficulties
