Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)? Do you have a passion for working with two-year-olds, fostering their early development in a nurturing environment? If so, we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS TA to join a long-term position in a nursery setting in Blackburn. This role is an immediate start and will continue until Easter.
As an EYFS TA, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and supportive environment for young children. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging activities
- Supporting language development
- Assisting with personal care routines
- Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure that each child receives the best possible support tailored to their individual needs
- Providing feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher
- Liaising with other professionals such as teachers, TAs, and specialist support staff
- Working closely with other LSAs and support staff
- Working with classes, small groups, and with children on a one-to-one basis
- Monitoring and tracking the development of the pupil in question and supporting personal development and confidence
Additional requirements include:
- Experience of working with young people
- Comfort and confidence in managing challenging behaviours
- Ability to engage with and build rapport with young people
- Creativity, proactivity, and flexibility in your supporting style
- Experience with SEN or knowledge of learning difficulties
