Randstad Education is seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teachers for opportunities within schools. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment where children with special educational needs can truly thrive. This is a permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours. Please note that this role is unable to offer any Sponsorship at this time. All candidates will be subject to Randstad Education's child protection and UK eligibility vetting including a DBS check and providing satisfactory references. A DBS on the update service would be a distinct advantage due to the urgent nature of some of these roles.
Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of SEN students
- Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils, setting clear targets and monitoring progress
- Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support students' learning and development
- Assess pupils' abilities and progress regularly, adapting teaching methods as necessary
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies (e.g., therapists, psychologists) to provide holistic support
- Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social and emotional development
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on pupil progress for parents and senior management
- Participate in professional development to stay updated on SEN best practices and legislation
- Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
