The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Art & Design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with the potential for KS5 for the right candidate). You will foster a classroom environment where students feel empowered to experiment with different mediums, from traditional fine art to digital design.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspire & Engage: Plan and deliver creative lessons that ignite students' curiosity and technical skills.
- Curriculum Delivery: Teach a broad range of techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
- Assessment: Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with a supportive Creative Arts team to share resources and best practices.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Art, Design, or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching Art within a UK secondary school setting.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- A portfolio of your own work or student outcomes is highly desirable.
