Overview: Randstad Education is seeking a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide individual support to a pupil with additional needs in a primary school. This role involves working closely with the class teacher to help the student engage in lessons and achieve their learning goals. Main Duties:

  • Deliver one-to-one support tailored to a child’s specific learning needs.
  • Assist with daily classroom routines while maintaining a supportive learning environment.
  • Offer behavioural and emotional guidance when needed.
  • Collaborate with the teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
  • Monitor progress and share updates with colleagues and parents.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children, ideally in a 1:1 or SEN setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, empathy, and patience.
  • A positive, adaptable attitude and genuine enthusiasm for helping young learners.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
