Key Roles & Responsibilities

Offer 1:1 and small-group support to children with Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN) or ASD.

Assist in delivering EHCP outcomes under the direction of the school SENDCo.

Adapt learning activities using visual timetables, PECS, or sensory tools to encourage pupil focus.

Promote positive behavior management and emotional well-being using structured praise.

Assist in maintaining accurate progress logs and notes for parent handovers.
Requirements for the Role

Practical experience in a child-centered environment with a focus on special needs support.

A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting diverse learning requirements.

Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in both English Language and Mathematics.

A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
