English & PSHE Teacher

£150 - £250 a day
We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated English & PSHE Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' secondary school based in Upminster. Starting as soon as possible, this post will run until at least Christmas, offering you the chance to make an immediate impact within a top-performing academic environment.

We are seeking enthusiastic educators who can bring dynamic teaching, engaging discussions, and strong support for student wellbeing into the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality English and PSHE lessons across secondary year groups
- Creating a structured, positive, and stimulating learning environment
- Assessing student work, tracking progress, and providing constructive feedback
- Adapting teaching strategies to support pupils of all abilities, including those with SEN
- Managing classroom behavior effectively in line with school policies
- Collaborating with the wider department to maintain high curriculum standards
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent secondary teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English and delivering PSHE curriculum content
- Reference History: Minimum 2 years of continuous employment references (character reference required for any gaps exceeding 90 days in the last 2 years)
- DBS: An enhanced child DBS on the Update Service (a full copy of the certificate must be provided)
- Address History: Full 5-year address history
- Training: Willingness to complete mandatory E-Learning modules prior to placement
- Right to Work: Valid Right to Work in the UK (Essential - sponsorship is not available for this role)
