Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Inspiring Lessons: As an impactful Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) aligned with the UK National Curriculum.

  • Full Curriculum Ownership: Take charge of full teaching responsibilities, including lab safety, lesson preparation, assessment, and constructive marking to accelerate pupil attainment.

  • Hands-On Learning: Facilitate safe, exciting practical experiments that help students connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications.

  • Differentiate Learning: Tailor instruction effectively to stretch high achievers while providing structured support for students developing core scientific understanding.

  • Departmental Contribution: Work closely with faculty peers to refine schemes of work, share resources, and support extra-curricular STEM clubs or revision sessions.

Candidate Profile

We are searching for an enthusiastic Science Teacher who combines strong subject knowledge with an engaging, accessible teaching style.

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.

  • Proven track record of working as a Science Teacher within a UK secondary school setting.

  • Strong commitment to practical safety, clear communication, and high expectations for pupil achievement.

  • Effective classroom and laboratory management skills grounded in positive reinforcement.

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one through Randstad).
