Location: Plymouth & Surrounding Areas
Pay Rate: £92.56 - £95.00 per day (Weekly Pay)
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday, Term Time)
Contract Type: Flexible / Day-to-Day Supply
About the Role
Are you looking for a flexible role in education that fits around your schedule?We are seeking empathetic, adaptable 1:1 Supply Teaching Assistants to work across primary and secondary schools in Plymouth.
This role offers the chance to make a genuine difference in a child's learning journey without the commitment of lesson planning or weekend marking.You will provide dedicated 1-on-1 academic, social, and emotional support to individual pupils, helping them build confidence and access the curriculum effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to tailored pupils throughout the school day.

Adapt classroom tasks to suit the individual child's learning needs and goals.

Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment.

Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) alongside the class teacher.

Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and building social skills.
Requirements & Qualifications

Previous experience supporting children or young people on a 1:1 basis.

Patient, proactive, and resilient approach with strong communication skills.

Good standard of English and Maths (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent).

An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Valid Right to Work in the UK.
