A secondary academy in Benfleet is seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable Music Teacher to step into an urgent cover position supporting their Expressive Arts faculty starting immediately.
You will lead engaging Music lessons up to KS4, helping students maintain momentum in their creative and practical studies. As part of a collaborative department, you will also deliver a small amount of Key Stage 3 Drama timetable cover.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 aligned with the secondary curriculum.

Plan, deliver, and facilitate dynamic practical and theoretical music activities.

Teach a small schedule of Drama lessons to support faculty capacity.

Maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
Candidate Requirements

Availability: Available for an immediate start.

Experience: Recent classroom teaching experience within the last 12 months.

Subject Expertise: Proven track record teaching Music up to Key Stage 4.

Flexibility: Willingness to cover and deliver basic Drama lessons.

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or equivalent secondary teaching background.

Compliance: Valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential for an immediate start).
