Cover Supervisor- Knowsley

We are excitedly recruiting dedicated Cover Supervisors to join our network of secondary schools across Knowsley. In this role, you will step in during teacher absences to lead set activities, guide learning, and ensure students stay engaged throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise secondary school classes (Key Stages 3 and 4) using pre-prepared lesson plans provided by the school.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, enforcing school policies to ensure a safe and productive environment.
• Assist students with their work, answering queries and keeping them on task.
• Collect completed work at the end of lessons and pass feedback to permanent staff.
• Maintain high standards of pupil engagement and well-being.

What We Are Looking For

• A degree qualification or substantial experience working with young people (e.g., sports coaching, youth work, tutoring, teaching assistant roles).
• Strong communication, presence, and classroom management skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and reliability.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Right to work in the UK.
