Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team for a January start at Harris Primary Academy Beckenham. Your role will be essential in shaping young minds, delivering planned cover lessons, and supporting pupils to achieve their best.

Responsibilities:
- Delivering pre-planned cover lessons and small group interventions across the primary phase
- Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment for pupils
- Assess student progress during cover lessons and provide constructive feedback to class teachers
- Ability to communicate with, engage, and encourage children with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with teaching staff to maintain consistent classroom and behavior management
- Assist with pastoral care and maintain a safe, inclusive learning space
Requirements:
- HLTA Status / Qualification is essential
- Previous experience working in an education setting
- 2 years of employment references / relevant experience
- An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
- Right to work in the UK - Essential (sponsorship is not available with this role)
- Strong knowledge of the UK Primary curriculum
- Being passionate about teaching and supporting young learners
