The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 Β£ per year.
This role requires the candidate who is already holding active Security Check (SC) clearance in accordance with UK Government standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and manage Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS) database solutions.
- Develop and maintain database architecture strategies to support business goals.
- Lead the migration and integration of databases across multi-cloud database environments including Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of database systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with migrating large databases to Exadata (ExaCS, ExaCC) platform.
- Experience with migrating databases to ATP/ADW.
- Design database consolidation and reduce OPEX spending.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior database architects and administrators.
- Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and security assessments.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in database technologies and cloud offerings.
- Implement and manage Exadata X9 hardware including persistent memory (PMem) and RDMA algorithms to optimize performance and reduce latency.
- Deploy and manage Exadata X11-10M98 hardware leveraging its scale-out high-performance database servers and intelligent storage servers.
- Extensive knowledge and troubleshooting experience in the following areas: RAC, RAT testing, ASM, Exadata Performance tuning, Data Guard, Physical and Logical DG Broker.
- Experience in database security (TDE, Audit Vault, OKV, etc.).
- Experience in OS administration (Linux, Solaris), virtualization, storage (ZFS, ZDLRA).
