Our client is currently expanding their Sonar Division and they are looking for subject matter experts to help design, build, and deliver the next generation of active and passive sonar products. We are less concerned about whether your background is in Software, Electronics, or Systems Engineering, and more interested in your deep understanding of the sonar lifecycle and your ability to solve complex maritime challenges.
The Role
Depending on your specific engineering discipline, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of sonar products. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure our technology remains the gold standard for anti-submarine warfare (ASW).
We are looking for experts who can contribute in one or more of the following areas:
- Technical Leadership: Leading engineering teams through the full development and customer delivery cycle of sonar suites.
- Design & Development: Contributing to the architecture of sonar systems, whether through embedded software, FPGA design, or hardware integration.
- Integration & Verification: Taking complex acoustic sensors and ensuring they function perfectly within the wider ship or submarine ecosystem.
- Trials & Testing: Planning and executing rigorous testing phases, ensuring our products meet the exacting standards of the MoD and international navies.
Your Background
You will likely have spent the last 5+ years working in a high-consequence engineering environment, specifically focused on Active or Passive Sonar. We are interested in speaking with you if you have experience in any of the following:
- Systems Engineering: Defining requirements and managing the V-model for maritime products.
- Electronics Engineering: Circuit design, signal processing, or sensor integration.
- Software Engineering: C++, Embedded C, or Signal Processing algorithms.
- Trials Engineering: Real-world testing of acoustic or maritime hardware.
