Working closely with Marketing, eCommerce Product, and Development teams, you'll turn insights from GA4, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms into clear, prioritised actions that enhance both traditional search and AI-powered search experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
    • Own and deliver the SEO roadmap for the international eCommerce platform, covering technical SEO, on-page optimisation, internal linking, and structured data.
    • Conduct technical SEO audits and lead improvements across crawlability, indexation, canonicalisation, pagination, hreflang, XML sitemaps, and crawl budget optimisation.
    • Partner with the eCommerce Product Owner to optimise category (PLP) and product (PDP) templates, including titles, metadata, headings, content structure, specifications, internal links, and schema (Product, Breadcrumb, FAQ).
    • Feed SEO requirements into the development backlog, including mobile optimisation, site speed, and platform enhancements.
    • Analyse performance data using GA4, Google Search Console, and SEO tools to track keywords, landing page performance, engagement, and conversions, translating insights into prioritised actions.
  • Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)
    • Optimise content for AI-driven search experiences (e.g. Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, ChatGPT-style search) by structuring pages for conversational queries and direct answers.
    • Implement GEO best practices, including Q&A-style content, concise summaries, and authoritative explanations that AI systems can easily extract and reference.
    • Monitor performance and visibility within AI-generated results and emerging platforms, adapting strategies as search behaviour evolves.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering SEO for large eCommerce platforms, including complex category structures, product detail pages, and faceted navigation.
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimisation, internal linking, and structured data.
  • Hands-on experience with GA4 and Google Search Console, with the ability to blend behavioural and query data to drive decisions.

  • Strong SEO delivery experience
  • Ability to build and execute SEO roadmaps
