Business Analyst – Axiom & Regulatory Reporting (Capital Markets)

Location: London, Canary Wharf (Hybrid 2-3 days in office)

Contract: 12 Months

About the Role

Seeking an experienced Business Analyst specializing in AxiomSL ControllerView and regulatory reporting to join our Capital Markets team. This pivotal role bridges business stakeholders (Risk, Finance, Compliance) and IT, driving requirements for new and enhanced regulatory reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory & Business Analysis: Lead workshops, gather and validate complex regulatory requirements (e.g., RWA, Leverage Ratio), conduct gap analyses, and translate high‑level needs into precise Functional Specifications (FSDs) including data mapping. Monitor global regulatory changes (e.g., Basel IV impact).
• AxiomSL Platform Focus: Collaborate with IT on AxiomSL configuration, data modelling, and report development. Define data lineage, transformation, and data quality rules. Design and execute UAT.
• Liaison & Project Management: Act as the central liaison between business and IT (Developers, QA, Production Support). Manage communication, scope, timelines, and issue resolution. Maintain key documentation (BRDs, FSDs).

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years BA experience in financial institutions/consultancy.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience with AxiomSL ControllerView regulatory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Basel III (Basel IV desirable).
• Solid Capital Markets background (derivatives, fixed income, equities).
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory texts into IT requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Desired Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience with other regulatory platforms (Moody’s Analytics, Wolters Kluwer).
• Understanding of regional regulations (FINREP, COREP, MiFID II).
• Familiarity with Agile.
• Certifications: CFA, FRM, CBAP.
