Hiring: Solution Architect / Delivery Lead (Data Product Catalogue)

Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Are you an experienced Solution Architect / Delivery Lead with deep expertise in enterprise data platforms, Azure architecture, and modern data mesh ecosystems? We’re looking for a seasoned technical leader to spearhead the architecture, design, and end-to-end delivery of an enterprise Data Product Catalogue (DPC) solution within a complex financial services environment.

The Role

In this dual-impact role, you will bridge the gap between high-level architectural strategy and hands-on delivery management. You’ll be responsible for producing the High-Level Design (HLD) for the DPC solution, aligning it with Enterprise Data Platform standards, and driving the delivery plan through to production release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & HLD: Author the High-Level Design (HLD) for the Data Product Catalogue in the target development environment.
  • Target State Architecture: Define hosting, database connectivity (PostgreSQL, Neo4j), secrets management, and platform integrations in line with enterprise standards.
  • Governance & Approvals: Present to and secure approvals from Design Authority (DA) and architectural governance boards.
  • Codebase Refactoring Strategy: Assess existing DPC codebase, application architecture, and deployment artifacts to replace local components with enterprise services.
  • Enterprise Integration: Design seamless integration connectivity with enterprise metadata, lineage services, IAM, ITSM, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Delivery Leadership: Own the end-to-end delivery plan across design, build, integration, and deployment phases while managing multi-disciplinary technology stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Core Experience & Architectural Mindset: 8–12 years of proven experience in Enterprise Solution Architecture and Delivery/Project Management, ideally within banking or financial services.
  • Strong background navigating formal enterprise governance frameworks (Design Authority, change/release management).
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise data or platform engineering programs using Agile/hybrid delivery methods.

Technical & Ecosystem Knowledge

  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Azure Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and API-based integration patterns.
  • Data & Databases: PostgreSQL, Graph Databases (Neo4j, Kuzu), and data mesh/metadata management platforms.
  • Modern Tech Stack: Next.js 14, FastAPI (Python), Casbin RBAC, Pipeline Orchestration, Apache Iceberg, MCP AI Server Integration, and ODCS v2 Data Contracts layer.
  • DevOps & Integration: Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Data Transformation/Quality frameworks, ITSM, and enterprise IAM integrations.

How to Apply

If you're a strategic tech lead who thrives at the intersection of modern data architecture, governance, and delivery, we want to hear from you! Apply directly or send your CV to arrange an initial conversation.
