We currently have a temporary Stores Operative role available with DS Smith. This role is ideal for someone with previous stores and admin experience.
Role: Stores Operative
Shifts: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm or 8am - 4pm
Pay: £14 per hour
Duration: 6 months
Location: DS Smith Packaging, South Mills, The Ridgeway, Blunham, Bedford MK44 3PH (100% site based)
Main tasks include:
- Monitoring stock levels, ensuring that material is available as required to meet production plans
- Goods in, goods out
- Booking and processing deliveries
- Cooperate with purchasing and planning team to ensure materials are available
- Reorder materials and consumables to avoid shortages
- Stock Control: Investigate discrepancies between physical and system stock
- Ensure items are properly labelled and stored promptly
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods and materials against delivery notes
