Do you have experience within a production or manufacturing environment? Do you consider yourself to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Launceston? This role is ideal for someone with production or manufacturing experience and a safety-first approach, although training will be provided.

Location: DS Smith Packaging, Hurdon Road, Launceston, PL15 9HN

Job Type: Full Time, Contractual - 3 months initially with potential for extension

Pay: £13.98 per hour

Shifts: 37 hours per week

  • Week 1: Mon – Thurs 06:00 – 14:00 & Fri 06:00 – 11:00
  • Week 2: Mon – Thurs 14:00 – 22:00 & Fri 11:00 – 16:00 (Including 45-minute paid breaks Mon–Thurs and 15 minutes on Fri)

Start: ASAP (subject to interview and onboarding checks)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate machinery and equipment in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Follow Standard Safe Operating Procedures (SSOW) and UK Health and Safety legislation
  • Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery
  • Driving the Forklift
Essential Requirements:
  • Forklift licence - Counterbalance
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and SSOW
