Do you consider yourself to be a positive individual and enjoy working as a team? Are you based in or around PA37? We have a General Operative position available within Holcim at Glensanda Quarry. This role is ideal for someone who considers themself to be reliable, proactive and eager to learn.

Location: Glensanda Quarry, Rhugh Garbh Depot, Barcaldine, PA37 1SE

You will need to arrive onsite at 6.30am to catch the ferry over to the quarry, you will stay at the quarry all expenses paid for 7 days, then have 7 days off.

Rate: £18.00ph - £22.00ph

Contract length: 3 months initially but with the view to go permanent

Shift Patterns: working 7 days a week 7am till 7pm, (84hrs) 1 week on, 1 week off.

Start: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • General site maintenance
  • Cleaning spillages from under the production lines
  • Moving site waste using a wheel barrow
  • Use of on site machinery if valid tickets are held
  • Practising the highest standards of Health and Safety at all times

Essential requirements:

  • Ability to conduct manual handling
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Previous labouring experience
  • Some knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
  • Driving licence and use of a car is desirable due to location of the site, however, public transport is available.
