A Large Global Manufacturer is looking for a passionate Development & Research Engine Test Technician to join their world-class facility in Peterborough. This isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to be at the heart of engine innovation, working on everything from 0.5 to 18L engines that power the world; from marine vessels to massive locomotives.
The Opportunity: Located at a premier engine facility in Peterborough, you will join the Global Engine Development (GED) team. This team is instrumental in the development, validation, and certification of new products, as well as supporting current engine lines.
Role Focus: 85% of your time will be dedicated to test bed operations, with the remaining 15% focused on training, development, and improvement activities.
Core Responsibilities:
- You will install engines into test cells, connect measurement equipment, and execute engine testing to meet specific customer requirements.
- You will diagnose and fix faults on both engines and test cell equipment, ensuring high-quality data collection.
- You will work closely with engineers to conduct technical investigations into future products, materials, and processes.
