Are you an experienced Business Development Manager? Do you hold experience within the DIY Retail industry? The successful applicant will hold proven experience delivering growth and business development within the retail market, ideally the DIY trade.

Role: Business Development Manager (Retail)

Hours: Mon-Fri, standard office hours

Location: Catnic, Pontypandy Industrial Estate, Caerphilly, CF83 3GL (Head office). This role is UK wide and therefore base location is flexible.

  • Identifying, targeting and converting new business within the retail DIY market
  • Understanding building products, construction materials to aid credible buying conversations
  • Building strong, exclusive relationships with depot Managers, buyers, Procurement Directors and retail Trading teams
  • Working collaboratively with the wider commercial team on larger business wins
  • Qualifying opportunities for growth and new business
  • Building pipelines of prospect growth and converting to revenue outcome
  • Managing CRM activity

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
  • Previous experience in a Business Development role, winning new business within DIY Retail and/or Trade
  • Good IT literacy, especially with MS office and CRM systems
  • The ability to use data to build commercial arguments
  • Knowledge of building products, fixings, hardware or equivalent
