Are you a time served and experienced Electrical Engineer? We have a permanent Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer role available within the Tata Steel's Steelpark site. Steelpark is the UK's largest steel distribution and processing centre and also one that is supported by a domestic steel mill.
The successful applicant will hold a UK time served Electrical apprenticeship and hold significant experience within a heavy industry, having conducted reactive and preventative maintenance.
- Role: Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer
- Location: Steelpark
- Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 + 18% Shift Allowance = Total Salary £37,760 - £44,840
- Shift Patterns: 3-shift rotating pattern (mornings, afters and nights), Monday - Friday.
- Start: ASAP but pending the successful result of a medical assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure efficiency and productivity targets are met.
- Support the development and implementation of processes complying with Tata Steel H&S Management System.
- Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant electrical trade or a recognised apprenticeship.
- Strong electrical background with a proven track record.
- Experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding within a heavy engineering/industrial environment.
- Flexible and eager to learn and develop.
- Driving license and use of a car.
- Knowledge of electrical systems in heavy industry.
