Randstad have an opportunity available to join the team at Belfast Metropolitan College in Maghaberry Prison for an essential skills tutor with a focus on Numeracy.

Requirements:
- Applicants must hold GCSE English Language, Maths and ICT (Grades A-C) OR Essential skills level 2 or equivalent
- A degree obtained at a university in the UK or the Republic of Ireland, of which Maths / Numeracy forms a minimum of 50% of the subject studied
- All existing tutors must be previously recognised by the Department for the Economy (DFE) for teaching Essential Skills in Northern Ireland OR be a qualified teacher for new tutors
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including Access NI and compliance due to the nature of this work
Responsibilities:
- To carry out training needs analysis to determine the skills gap between current and desirable trainee skill levels
- To deliver training as appropriate and provide support for trainees undertaking Essential Skills programmes
- To carry out training and assessor duties in compliance with awarding body and regulator standards
- To understand the training needs of the trainee population and deliver and develop challenging and exciting training sessions
- To deliver innovative programmes including the use of technologies
- To ensure all training and assessment materials used are of the highest quality and are appropriate to support training and assessment
