Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Supply Chain Planner for an important role with our client based in Desford. This position is critical to the preparation for our clients major business transformation of their ERP system.
Position Details:
Contract: 12 months, with a high chance of extension.
Location: Desford.
Pay Rate: up to £17.50 per hour.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:00 or 08:00 - 16:00.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Gathering Packaging information and Supplier Lead time from production part suppliers.
Updating the internal packaging database and systems.
Assisting with the validation of internal plan for every part parameters in the current ERP system.
Desirable Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate must have strong Excel skills and be able to demonstrate skills in the following areas:
Business Process Improvement:You will gather data for analysis , illustrate opportunities for improving existing business processes , suggest ways to reduce process waste , and participate in requirements analysis for process changes.
Analytical Thinking:You must be able to define a problem or issue , make systematic comparisons of alternative solutions , and use tools like flow charts or Pareto charts to identify meaningful data patterns.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking:You will be expected to identify, obtain, and organise relevant data , document data and stakeholders , and prioritise concerns.
Problem Solving:You will identify and document specific problems and potential resolutions , use fact-finding techniques , and understand the perspective of each stakeholder involved in a problem.
Project Management:You will provide input for project tracking charts , help plan and estimate simple projects under guidance , and produce standard project status reports.
Logistics Management:You will assist in developing process flows to track lead time , maintain records of shipments and invoices , and work with logistics in a domestic environment.
