I'm recruiting for a seasoned Refrigeration Service Engineer to join my client's established organisation. This fantastic opportunity will see you dedicated to supporting one of their key UK supermarket clients, a significant account within their portfolio.

Your responsibilities will primarily involve performing both planned and reactive refrigeration maintenance across various retail store locations. You'll be tasked with the upkeep and repair of a diverse range of refrigeration equipment. Additionally, you'll conduct regular scheduled store visits to address reactive work, complete Preventative Maintenance tasks, and execute minor repairs as requested by the customer.

Core Duties:
  • Perform PPM and reactive refrigeration maintenance across a number of sites.
  • Undertake service and repair of a variety of CO2 refrigeration pack equipment.
  • Diagnose non-repairable faults in plant and machinery, promptly informing the Refrigeration Manager of your assessment, along with suggestions for suitable replacements.
  • Execute minor alterations and installations within your technical scope, adhering to current specifications.

  • Required: SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration or equivalent qualification.
  • City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1.
  • Highly Beneficial (but not essential): City and Guilds 7671 18th Edition.
  • City and Guilds Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Refrigeration System Services.
Candidate Profile:
  • Extensive experience working with supermarket refrigeration systems.
  • Willingness to participate in the 24/7 on-call rota (1 in 4 weeks).
  • Possession of a full driving license.
  • Proficiency in using a PDA system.
  • Competence in interpreting technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience in PPM and reactive maintenance within a comparable retail setting.

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
