Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform testing to protocol or procedure whilst adhering to good laboratory practice.
- Develop protocols to accomplish goals.
- Produce prototype product or communicate prototype requirements to support experiments.
- Utilise analytical instruments and train others in their operation.
- Participate in experimental design discussions, identify variables that may impact experimental results.
- Analyse data, evaluate results and form conclusions.
- Prepare effective summaries of results and communicate these to the wider team.
- Compile and maintain records as required by good laboratory practice.
- Write clear and technically correct reports with feedback from colleagues.
- Liase with other departments and present technical information to team meetings.
- Have awareness of change control procedures applicable to role.
- Know and apply knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Responsible for own laboratory notebook and for the accuracy, quality and timeliness of experimental results.
- Ensure that all work complies with the quality system.
- Use scientific and industry literature to broaden knowledge.
