Role Overview
As a Sales Consultant, you are more than a retail associate; you are a sleep specialist and a brand ambassador for one of the world's most prestigious bedding manufacturers. You will cater to high-net-worth individuals, interior designers, and luxury enthusiasts, guiding them through a sensory and technical journey to discover the ultimate sleep experience. This role requires a sophisticated blend of consultative selling, technical product mastery, and uncompromising service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Expert Product Consultation: Develop an encyclopedic knowledge of our product line, including the provenance of raw materials (e.g., long-staple Egyptian cotton, ethically sourced down, sustainable silks). Articulate the technical benefits of different thread counts, weaves (Sateen vs. Percale), and tog ratings to provide tailored recommendations based on client sleep profiles. Educate clients on the craftsmanship and heritage that define our luxury status.
- Revenue Generation & Strategic Selling: Closing Sales: Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial greeting and "bed-making" demonstrations to final transaction and white-glove delivery scheduling. Upselling: Confidently transition clients from entry-level luxury items to our flagship, artisanal collections by highlighting value and long-term comfort. Cross-Selling: Curate "complete sleep looks" by suggesting complementary items such as silk eye masks, decorative throws, scented linen mists, and premium pillows.
- Best-in-Class Clienteling: Provide a "white-glove" service experience, ensuring every interaction—whether in-person, over the phone, or via email—reflects the brand's high-end positioning. Proactively manage a personal book of business, maintaining long-term relationships with VIP clients and notifying them of new arrivals or private trunk shows. Collaborate with interior designers to specify bedding for large-scale residential projects.
- Visual Excellence & Operations: Maintain the pristine aesthetic of the showroom, ensuring all floor samples are impeccably steamed, tucked, and presented. Manage inventory levels and process custom bespoke orders with extreme attention to detail.
Candidate Profile
- The Luxury Mindset: You understand that luxury is about the experience as much as the product. You are poised, articulate, and comfortable engaging with high-profile clientele.
- The Storyteller: You have a passion for craftsmanship and can weave technical specifications into a compelling narrative about comfort and wellness.
- The High-Performer: You are motivated by sales targets and take pride in exceeding conversion and Average Transaction Value (ATV) goals.
Qualifications
- Experience: Experience in high-end retail (luxury fashion, fine jewelry, furniture, or high-end hospitality).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for aesthetics and a "perfectionist" approach to visual merchandising.
