Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Plymouth

Pay rate: £35,000 - £37,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (No Weekend Shifts)

About the Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Technical Leader, you will maintain equipment reliability and drive operational efficiency across our Plymouth facility. This position combines hands-on preventative maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) leadership, and the mentorship of frontline technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute AM/PM tasks on schedule and document activities with the Maintenance Planner.
  • Conduct regular equipment audits to identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead assigned TPM initiatives.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to production teams and mentor staff in best-practice repair techniques.
  • Organize spare parts and materials for planned maintenance windows, equipment rebuilds, and plant shutdowns.
  • Utilize toolroom manufacturing capabilities to support ongoing maintenance and operational needs.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment (high-volume production preferred).
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems (SAP preferred), TPM techniques, and toolroom machinery.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to adjust working schedules when needed for critical maintenance and plant shutdowns.
