Are you a passionate and experienced building services professional ready to take on a challenging and rewarding leadership role?

Randstad is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Building Services Manager to join our team. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our buildings, creating a safe and comfortable environment for our occupants. You'll be responsible for managing a team of skilled building services technicians, overseeing a diverse range of projects, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Temp: 12 week contract

Location: Welwyn Garden city

Hours: 37per week monday-friday

Rate: £30.22 per hour

What You'll Do:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive building services strategy, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of all building services systems.
• Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of skilled building services technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve high performance.
• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of building services projects, from initial design and budget to handover and ongoing maintenance.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all building services systems comply with relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety regulations, and maintain a safe and compliant environment for occupants.
• Problem-Solving: Effectively diagnose and resolve building services issues, implementing solutions to prevent recurring problems and ensure ongoing operational efficiency.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilise data and reports to identify trends, assess performance, and inform strategic decisions regarding building services.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for building services operations and projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions and responsible resource allocation.
• Collaboration: Work effectively with other departments, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
• Asset Management: Collaborate with the Asset Management team to ensure building services are aligned with overall asset management strategies and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the property portfolio.

Essential Requirements:

* A relevant qualification in Building Services Engineering or a related field.

* Significant experience in managing building services operations and projects.

* A thorough understanding of building services systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.

* Experience in developing and implementing building services strategies.

* Proven leadership and team management skills.

* Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Valued Skills:

* Experience with data analysis and reporting in building services.

* Knowledge of sustainable building practices.

* Project management experience.

* Experience in a comparable setting
