The Role:
As Project Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the highways project from inception to completion.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage and coordinate the work of engineers, site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement solutions to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients (e.g., local authorities, transport agencies), stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
- Manage the project\’s commercial aspects, including contract administration and variation control.
What We\’re Looking For:
- A proven track record in project management within the highways sector, ideally with experience of delivering similar projects in rural or semi-rural environments.
- Strong understanding of highway construction techniques, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and cost control methodologies.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
