The Role:

As Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the highways project from inception to completion.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of engineers, site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement solutions to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients (e.g., local authorities, transport agencies), stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
  • Manage the project\’s commercial aspects, including contract administration and variation control.

  • A proven track record in project management within the highways sector, ideally with experience of delivering similar projects in rural or semi-rural environments.
  • Strong understanding of highway construction techniques, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and cost control methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
