Are you a skilled Site Engineer with a background in large-scale Highways, looking to apply your expertise to the industry? We have an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Site Engineer to join a highways project in the Norwich area. This role is scheduled to begin at the end of this month and run until at least April 2027, with the possibility of being extended based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out for all elements of the highways package
  • Overseeing all on-site engineering activities, ensuring work is completed to design specifications.
  • Conducting quality control checks and inspections on excavations, material placement, and compaction.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed site records, including as-built surveys and daily diaries.
  • Liaising with the site management team, subcontractors, and designers to resolve any technical issues.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental standards on site.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer is essential.
  • A strong background in large-scale earthworks packages is required.
  • Previous experience on renewable energy projects (e.g., wind farms, solar farms) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using modern surveying equipment (GPS, Total Station).
  • A valid CSCS card is mandatory.
  • A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field (HNC, HND, Degree).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
