Are you an experienced Gas Engineer looking for a fresh challenge with a leading Facilities Management provider? We are seeking a dedicated Mobile Gas Engineer to join our technical services team in Edinburgh. You will be the face of our company, providing high-quality planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a diverse portfolio of commercial and public sector sites, including schools, corporate offices, and retail hubs.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Carry out servicing, fault-finding, and repairs on commercial and domestic gas appliances/plant.
- Compliance: Ensure all gas works meet the latest legislative standards and issue digital safety certificates (CP12/CP17) via our PDA system.
- First-Fix Mentality: Diagnose complex faults in boiler plant rooms, HVAC systems, and water heaters with a focus on high first-fix rates.
- Sub-contractor Liaison: Occasionally supervise specialist sub-contractors and issue relevant permits to work.
- Emergency Response: Participate in a 1-in-5 on-call rota to ensure our clients remain "Safe, Fit, and Compliant".
What We're Looking For
- Essential Qualifications: Valid ACS Commercial (COCN1 / CODNCO1) and Domestic (CCN1) certificates.
- Technical Breadth: Experience with CIGA1, CDGA1, and CORT1 (Radiant Heaters) is highly desirable.
- Customer Focus: Excellent communication skills—you'll be working in live environments and need to provide clear updates to site managers.
- Independence: A "van-based" pro who is comfortable managing their own schedule and parts ordering via our mobile app.
Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence and the ability to pass an Enhanced PVG/DBS check (for school/care home contracts).
