One of my client\’s is looking for an experienced and driven Lead Electrical Engineer to join one of their flagship static contracts in the City of London. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing a team of 5 multi-skilled engineers, ensuring the smooth delivery of all electrical and building services maintenance across the site.

This position reports directly into the Site Contract Manager, offering fantastic scope for professional development and the chance to be part of a well-established, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of a team of 5 engineers.
  2. Oversee all electrical maintenance, including PPM, reactive works, fault finding, and repairs.
  3. Act as the site\’s primary technical authority on electrical systems.
  4. Liaise closely with the Contract Manager and client, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are consistently met.
  5. Provide hands-on support where necessary, across electrical and basic mechanical systems.
  6. Manage statutory compliance, health & safety regulations, and site documentation.
  7. Assist with subcontractor management and specialist works.
  8. Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team.

Key Requirements:

  1. Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds in Electrical Installations.
  2. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualified.
  3. Strong experience in a similar lead or supervisory role within building services/FM.
  4. Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, fault finding, and remedial works.
  5. Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge advantageous.
  6. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  7. Ability to work client-facing and build strong working relationships.
