We are recruiting for a Planner to join the team at an established regional business near Southampton to manage schemes up to £20 million. The contractor operates across Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex on negotiated and single stage bids up to £30 million, with a focus on schemes between £8 to £20 million in education, care, student, leisure, retail, and industrial sectors.

Turnover is secured through 2029 with other opportunities in the pipeline, and they have just been awarded 2 new schemes to start in July this year. The role of Planner involves working primarily with the bid and estimating teams to establish best practice and accurate forecasting at tender stages. You will help produce scope of works and bills of quantities, assess and manage subcontractor responses and proposals, and create a master programme for each scheme.

You will assist with client meetings and liaise with external professional bodies. Once the project has been successfully bid and won, you will help ensure that the Project and Contract Managers' look ahead programmes are on target, along with both subcontractors and the site team.

The role would suit an experienced Planner looking to work for a regional business on a wide variety of schemes. They are also interested in talking to Project or Contracts Managers who may be looking to transition into a full-time planning role.
