Experienced Groundworker – Hull
Pay: £20 – £23 per hour (PAYE/CIS options available)
Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
Project Duration: On-going / Long-term
What You\\\’ll Be Doing
- Marine & Coastal Civil Works: Assisting with the construction of sea defences, flood barriers, and other marine-related structures.
- Trenching & Drainage: Excavating and installing trenches for a variety of purposes, including drainage and utilities.
- Site Preparation: Performing general groundworks, including site clearance, access roads, and setting up site welfare compounds.
- Concreting & Formwork: Carrying out concreting pours, finishing, and assisting with formwork for foundations and structures.
- General Groundworks: Performing a range of duties as required to support the project, including manual labour and assisting with the movement of materials.
What We\\\’re Looking For
- Experience: Proven experience as a Groundworker, with a background in marine, coastal, or heavy civil engineering projects being a significant advantage.
- Essential Tickets:
- CSCS Card (Green Labourer or higher) – a must-have for site access.
- CPCS or NPORS Plant Tickets for relevant machinery (e.g., Dumper, Roller, 360 Excavator) are highly beneficial.
- NRSWA / Street Works Ticket is a plus.
- Skills: A strong understanding of health and safety protocols, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and a robust, proactive work ethic.
- Adaptability: The ability to work in a challenging and dynamic marine environment, sometimes in changing weather conditions.
