We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Welder / Fabricator to join a leading, independently owned building materials group. As the UK’s largest independent group in the sector, we pride ourselves on being a business where individuals can make a real impact. The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, safety‑focused, and capable of delivering high‑quality welding and fabrication work in a demanding production environment. While experience in heavy industry or concrete manufacturing is beneficial, we welcome any competent welder/fabricator with strong mechanical skills and a proactive drive.
Your Responsibilities:
- Welding fabricate, repair, and modify plant structures including chutes, hoppers, guards, platforms, and moulds.
- Mechanical Maintenance: Perform mechanical repairs on mixers, conveyors, material‑handling systems, and batch plant equipment.
- Wear Protection: Complete hard‑facing and wear‑protection welding to extend component life in high‑abrasion environments.
- Preventative Care: Support planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and corrective activities to ensure plant reliability.
- Rapid Response: Attend to urgent breakdowns to restore production safely and efficiently.
