My client, a industry-leading Principal Contractor within the civil engineering sector are seeking an experienced P-Way to join their high-profile rail infrastructure project in the West Midlands.
Candidate Responsibilities
- Oversight of track-laying activities, including S&C (Switches and Crossings), plain line renewal, and ballast management.
- Act as the technical point of contact on-site, ensuring works align with approved AFC drawings and specifications.
- Manage and produce Task Briefing Sheets, Work Package Plans (WPPs), and Quality Plans.
- Ensure all ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) are completed and signed off.
- Coordinate or perform topographic surveys and setting out for track geometry, ensuring tolerances are met for line and level.
- Maintain accurate daily site diaries, shift reports, and progress tracking against the project baseline.
Candidate Requirements
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Proven track record in P-Way engineering within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contracting environment.
- Deep understanding of track geometry, gauging, and track components.
- PTS.
- Comfortable working in high-pressure environments and during weekend/night possessions.
