We are looking for a skilled Refrigeration Engineer with specific experience in Retail Distribution Centers. This isn’t your standard commercial fridge repair role; you will be responsible for the maintenance, fault-finding, and optimization of large-scale industrial cooling systems that power regional supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Execute planned inspections on large-scale industrial packs, blast freezers, and chilled loading bays.
  • Attend reactive breakdowns to minimize downtime and prevent product loss in high-volume distribution environments.
  • Monitor and adjust PLC control systems to ensure maximum energy efficiency and temperature stability.
  • Maintain rigorous F-Gas records and ensure all systems meet current environmental and safety regulations.
  • Assist with small projects, including component replacement and system retrofits.

Qualifications

  • Direct experience working within retail distribution hubs or large-scale food logistics.
  • C&G 2079 (F-Gas) Category 1 (Essential).
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
  • Experience with VRV's, VRF's, chillers, Air handling units.
  • Have commercial retail experience in FMCG.
  • Flexible with a positive attitude and approach.
