Morson Edge is a principal supplier to Transport for London for track resources, and we have teams of highly skilled operatives working around the clock to deliver our clients track maintenance, upgrade and enhancement projects across the Capital's transport network. We are now looking for a Ballasted Track Renewals – Construction Supervisor, who is passionate about safety, leadership and continuous improvement, to join our TFL/LUL rail team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple worksites and take accountability for overall delivery of works on site under the direction of the Delivery Manager
- Manage safety on site and ensure HSQE requirements are achieved
- Ensure that all works are delivered in accordance with required designs, specifications and standards
- Actively monitor and report back regularly on worksite performance and quality of delivered works
- Look for safer innovative ways of working, ensuring the highest standard of works are delivered
- Be the initial point of contact for site teams and feedback any issues to management
- Ensure plant and materials are available for all planned works, help order new items as required and manage quantities to reduce costs where possible
- Participate in safety briefings, as well as brief night staff daily
- Check all documentation is in place prior to planned works, including workers' certification
- Undertake pre-site surveys and worksite hand-back walks as required

- Conductor rail works
- Track drainage
- Re-railing
- Sleeper replacement
- Points & crossings
- Working with engineering trains and on-track machinery
Ideal Candidate
- Previous, recent experience of managing ballasted track renewals (e.g., PWT’s or T002/3 Hanback Engineers with extensive BTR experience)
- Experience of planning engineering shifts, knowledge of track componentry and materials
- Problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- A UK driving licence

The role is primarily Monday to Friday, with additional weekend cover to help deliver regular possession and BTR work. A company vehicle will be provided.
