The Role
We are looking for a Senior Estimator with proven experience in heavy civils, rail, and major projects to support a major UK rail programme. You will lead estimating activities, provide assurance on contractor submissions, and develop both order-of-magnitude and first principle estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and review project estimates across multiple packages.
- Produce accurate cost estimates using RMM1, CESMM4 and estimating software.
- Provide assurance and benchmarking of contractor estimates.
- Mentor junior estimators and review outputs.
- Prepare basis-of-estimate reports for director review.
- Engage effectively with engineers, clients, and stakeholders.
About You
- Strong background in heavy civils and rail estimating.
- Skilled in methods of measurement and take-offs.
- Proficient with estimating tools and software.
- Confident in stakeholder engagement and reporting.
