Rail Systems Construction Manager β LRT Project EWI are supporting in the search for an experienced and highly skilled Systems Construction Manager to join a large-scale Light Rail Transit project in Canada. As part of a dynamic and innovative team, you will play a key role in managing the systems construction phase of this crucial public transportation infrastructure project. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of sustainable transit solutions while overseeing complex systems integration, from design through to implementation. Key Responsibilities: Lead the construction and integration of all systems components of the LRT project, including signaling, communications, power, and other operational systems. Ensure the systems construction aligns with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. Provide technical oversight and coordination for all systems-related activities during construction and testing phases. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is progressing according to plan and adherence to all safety protocols. Identify, mitigate, and resolve any issues that arise during the construction of systems. Lead and manage the team of systems engineers and contractors, ensuring efficient work execution and adherence to quality standards. Review and approve systems-related contractor proposals, change orders, and schedules. Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, clients, and local communities. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, particularly those specific to LRT systems in Canada. Requirements: Bachelor\βs degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master\βs preferred). Minimum 10 years of experience in systems construction management, preferably in large-scale transit projects. Proven experience managing complex LRT or similar infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of systems integration and construction processes. Solid knowledge of Canadian LRT design standards, safety codes, and regulatory requirements. Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to resolve technical and operational challenges efficiently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with teams and clients. PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
