Overview
We are seeking an experienced Planner to join our team on a significant civil engineering scheme – the development of a new railway depot near the Bradford/Leeds area. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, monitoring, and managing project programmes to ensure successful delivery in line with contract requirements and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure accurate planning and reporting.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Provide accurate forecasts and updates to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with project timelines and budgets.
- Prepare planning reports, schedules, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that project programmes are fully aligned with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Planner on major civil engineering projects (essential).

- Rail sector experience (highly desirable, but not essential).
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
