Rate: £300 per day Outside IR35

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm + weekends (rate uplift)
An M&E subcontractor is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Supervisor to support the delivery of a large-scale project in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist contractor working on critical infrastructure within a fast-paced and high-profile environment.
This is a non-working supervisory role, where you will act as a key support to the Construction Manager, ensuring smooth coordination between site teams and project management. You will split your time between the site office and live construction environment, playing a crucial role in maintaining programme, quality, and communication across the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Construction Manager in the day-to-day coordination of site activities
- Act as the link between site teams and office-based project staff
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schedules, and specifications
- Support QA processes, including use of project-specific software systems
- Monitor site progress and assist in maintaining programme delivery
- Ensure works are carried out in line with quality and safety standards
- Assist with general site coordination and communication across multiple stakeholders
Essential:
- Qualified Electrician with Gold Card
- Proven experience working on building services projects (e.g. stations, data centres)
- SSSTS/SMSTS/CSCS Black Card
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to quickly learn and use project-specific software systems
Desirable:
- Experience supporting QA processes on major projects
