My client is a UK-based engineering SME delivering professional services across the transport and natural resources sectors, supporting major infrastructure programmes in the UK and internationally. This role would suit someone with around 2-3 years’ professional projects experience who is organised, analytical, and comfortable working with technical information and data. Previous systems engineering or requirements management experience is beneficial but not essential. My client values people who are eager to learn, take ownership of their work, and are motivated to develop within a consultancy and project delivery environment. Ideally, the successful candidates may come from a range of engineering, infrastructure, rail, technical coordination, or project support backgrounds. Full support and mentoring will be provided to help develop systems engineering, requirements management, and assurance capability.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supporting requirements management and change management activities across engineering projects and assisting with verification and validation (V&V) activities to demonstrate compliance with project requirements.
- Reviewing technical information, engineering documentation, and project records for completeness and consistency.
- Supporting the coordination and tracking of project actions, deliverables, and technical data.
- Working within client delivery teams and aligning with client processes and ways of working.
- Supporting technical workshops, reviews, and stakeholder discussions.
- Contributing positively within a collaborative consultancy environment while managing your own workload effectively.

Essential Skills
- Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline and approximately 2+ years’ experience in a professional projects working environment.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with good attention to detail and comfortable working with structured technical information, documentation, and data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Able to manage your own workload and work effectively within a hybrid team environment.
