Are you a practical Electrical Engineer with a background working on the tools? We're looking for an engineer to create buildable LV designs for London Underground station works.

Rate: £300 - £350 Outside IR35

Location: London

Duration: Ongoing

Join our multi-disciplinary design team where practical experience is valued above all. We are a small, collaborative team based full-time in our London office because we believe in working together to solve problems. This isn't a corporate environment; it's a place where you'll be a key member of a team that supports each other and enjoys a good office culture.

This role is focused on 'buildability design.' We don't need a consultant to specify products; we need an engineer who knows how to put systems together within the constraints of the TfL environment.

Your role will involve:

  • Creating practical LV electrical designs for station work, including lighting and power systems.
  • Focusing on system buildability, including cable trunking, conduit capacity, bend radiuses, and extending assets like buzz bars.
  • Problem-solving to integrate new designs with legacy infrastructure.
  • Working closely with the wider design and CAD teams.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a 'proper electrical engineer,' ideally time-served with installation experience.
  • Understands the practical challenges of electrical installation and buildability.
  • Can problem-solve on the spot when faced with non-standard site issues.
  • Is looking to apply their hands-on knowledge in a design capacity.

If you're an engineer who understands what it takes to get the job done, we want to hear from you!
