Are you an Electrical Engineer with experience delivering Building Services design on rail stations or major infrastructure projects?
Whether you're an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer ready for the next step or an established Principal Electrical Engineer looking to lead technical delivery, this is an opportunity to work on complex rail infrastructure projects within a collaborative multidisciplinary design team.
Salary: Senior Electrical Engineer: £60,000 - £70,00 Principal Electrical Engineer: Up to £75,00 - £80,000
The Opportunity
You’ll be responsible for delivering Building Services electrical designs across major rail infrastructure projects, taking projects from concept through to construction.
As a Principal Engineer, you’ll also provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and lead design assurance activities.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing lighting, small power, containment, LV distribution and transformer systems.
- Producing calculations, specifications, equipment schedules and technical documentation.
- Coordinating designs within a BIM environment alongside multidisciplinary teams.
- Attending design reviews, technical workshops and coordination meetings.
- Reviewing supplier designs for technical compliance.
- Supporting testing, commissioning and project delivery.
- As a Principal Engineer, leading electrical design delivery, mentoring engineers, managing technical interfaces and representing the electrical discipline with stakeholders.
- What You’ll Need
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Experience delivering Building Services electrical design on rail stations or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, lighting, power and containment design.
- Experience using Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux or Relux.
- Experience working within a BIM environment.
- Knowledge of British Standards and rail industry design standards.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- For Principal Engineers
You’ll also have experience leading engineering teams, managing design assurance, mentoring engineers and representing the electrical discipline throughout project delivery.
Professional registration or progress towards Chartership would be advantageous.
