This is an opportunity to join HS2's industry-leading Configuration Management function and play a key role in maintaining technical integrity across one of the largest and most complex infrastructure programmes in Europe.
Working within a small but highly influential team, you'll support configuration and technical change activities across thousands of design submissions and engineering artefacts. You'll work closely with contractors and stakeholders to maintain baselines, manage change requests and ensure robust configuration control processes are followed throughout the programme.
Reporting into the Senior Configuration Manager, you'll support civils-related activities, helping to manage submissions and technical change processes while engaging with stakeholders across a complex matrix environment.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in Configuration Management, Configuration Control or a similar discipline.
- Understanding of baseline management and technical change processes.
- Experience managing design submissions and document control activities.
- Knowledge of change requests and configuration control principles.
- Experience working within a safety-critical or highly regulated industry.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence others to follow established processes.
- Experience working in a matrix environment alongside contractors and multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) or document management systems.
Desirable Experience
- Understanding of ISO 10007, ISO 9001 or DEF STAN 05-57.
- Experience with systems such as Bentley, Teamcenter, Maximo, Windchill or similar platforms.
- Backgrounds within rail, defence, aerospace, aviation, nuclear or other complex engineering sectors.
- Previous experience as a Configuration Controller, Configuration Engineer, Configuration Manager, Design Coordinator or Document Controller.
- Experience supporting technical change and maintaining design baselines.
